By -

Caroline, who is currently studying for a her MPHIL at the Centre of Photography, at Birkbeck, University of London was invited to discuss her research at Photographic History Research Centre de Montford, Leicester (PHRC) as a part their autumn research seminar series Photography and the Greater Middle East

“Using the London-Turkish community as a case study, her research draws from multi-sited ethnographic research within the photo-digital studio. Looking at the photo-digital studio photograph as a discursive cultural object, Caroline considers the “anthropology of the image” in relation to cultural practices within the community and relevant scholarly literature.”

Caroline has also travelled to Cyprus to deliver her conference paper at the 4th International Conference of Photography & Theory at the Nicosia Municipal Arts Centre, Cyprus, with this year’s topic ‘Photography and the Everyday
