This week has seen the second years really put on a show! As a part of their professional experience module there have been six different exhibitions happening across the city. In groups, these students have organised, curated and installed these shows, and they have showcased a range of themes and styles, including one exhibition in a student house!
With six separate exhibition opening events there has been ample opportunity to celebrate their hard work and success with well curated, individual spaces. With each show being open to the public, students have been able to engage the local community as well as enable valuable exposure and experience.
The exhibitions were:
Affinity, showing at The Tin Music and Arts
Skin and Bone, showing at City Arcadia
AL13 showing at the Belgrade theatre (based on the work produced during pinhole workshops that have been run by the students during the week.)
Charlievictor1, showing at The GlassBox
The Middle Ground, showing at 20 Friars Road
COV – City of Vision at The Box in Fargo Village.
These groups have also extended this by delivering workshops and talks to local schools and colleges.
