Within these walls: An exhibition by the CU photoclub was held from 28-30March 2014. The society was set up by 3rd year photography student Ioana Bultoc and brings together all students who want to share their interest in photography.
About: The Coventry University Photography Society is in its early stages as a society and have come a long way in the last two years. The majority of our members do not come from a photographic background and have taken on weekly tasks and workshops with great enthusiasm and passion, which has in turn culminated in a professional standard of photography.
To celebrate our achievements, we have taken it upon ourselves to organise an exhibition, to showcase our members work.
The exhibition draws inspiration from the open, online class ‘Picturing the Body’, otherwise known as ‘Picbod’. Ioana Bultoc, President of the society and previous participant in Picbod13, took the initiative to pass on her experience from the open class, to share and teach her knowledge and passion to others.
Who is Involved:
The society was founded in 2013 by Ioana Bultoc, Caroline Walker and Sifis Kesisoglou and has since grown in size with an ever expanding team including Joud Kabbara, Hassaan Ibrahim, Steeven Oxybel, Talha Muhammad and Christopher Trafford.
We have a total of 45 paid student members and approximately 100 online participants of which 20 will be exhibiting their work.
