World Photo Book Day at Coventry University

By -

The 14th October was the second ‘World Photobook Day‘ – a day that seeks to celebrate the photobook as a form of expression and also marks the anniversary of Anna Atkins ‘Photographs of British Algae’ – arguably the first photobook (acquired by the British Library Oct 14, 1843).

Events took place around the world from Bangalore to Mexico City as well as here in Coventry where the Photo Book Club, students, staff, alumni and visitors spent time with a selection of books from the ‘Natural Collection’ and the original ‘Box of Books’. A big thanks to Michael at the new Big Comfy Bookshop at Fargo Village for hosting us!
