Senior Lecturer Caroline Molloy has just returned from an Erasmus staff mobility trip in Madrid where she has been working with with Professor Hernando Gomez Gomez at The University de Europa Madrid to collaborate on a joint Visual Culture module due to launch this autumn (look out for further details nearer the time).
Whilst on the trip she visited some of the Photoespaña venues. This year’s festival edition concentrates on Spanish photography and runs in various venues across Madrid until July 27th.
Caroline recommends the post-photography exhibition Fotografia 2.0 curated by Joan Foncuberta at Curcuto de Bella Artes and Memories and Reflections at Real Jardin Botanico.
She also touched base with year 2/3 Photography students Imogen Wall and Jenny Swerdlow, who are currently living and working in Madrid and are nearing their end of their advantage year at the University de Europa in Madrid. In response to what are they going to miss about Madrid they both replied everything!
