Media Production students Craig Turner and Kenny Tran were praised for their professionalism after filming a member of the royal family in Jordan.
The second year level students travelled to Amman to film Princess Rym Ali, to record her opening speech for Coventry University’s Middle East Film Festival.
She sent an email saying how much she enjoyed meeting the students and how impressed she was by their attention to detail.
During the two-day visit to the Jordanian capital city, they filmed a variety of landscapes including the Roman amphitheatre and the Citadel.
They also joined a cookery class to learn how to make authentic Middle Eastern dishes such as tabbouleh (parsley salad), baba gannoush (aubergine dip) and sawani dijaj (chicken stew).
The students were flown out to Jordan by the Centre for Global Engagement’s Cultural Mundae team, who organised the festival.
