A look back at Checkpoint Counterpoint

By -

After all the hard work on the field trip and countless hours of prep and planning, students on the MA CCM were finally ready to present the fruits of their labour. Checkpoint Counterpoint was an exhibition of the critical artefacts they collected as part of their research briefs during the four days they spent in Berlin.

Five groups explored themes ranging from barriers and restrictions, the creativity of the street, cultural identity through food cultures, light as decoration, and the cosmopolitan traveller. All projects were driven by an emphasis on the practical application of theory and an extension of the work done in the classroom.

Here are a pick of the best shots from a hugely successful launch event and subsequent public viewing held on the 12th and 13th of July in the Glass Box Gallery! You can keep up to date with all that’s happening on the MA CCM by following us on Twitter: @ComCultMed
